Introduction
Under the auspices of Rao Educational Society (Regd.) 'Allama Iqbal Unani Medical College & ACN HOSPITAL' has been established for imparting Medical Education through Unani System of Medicine.
The College is an autonomous non-profit making body situated at G.T.Road, (Roorkee Chungi) Muzaffarnagar at the distance of 4km from Roadways Bus Stand.
Muzaffarnagar is situated at a distance of 120 km from Delhi on the Grand Trunk Road, leading to Dehradun. The climate of city remains hot in summer and cold and dry in winter with intervening rainy season.

About UNANI Medicine
The Unani System of Medicine originated in Greece and passed through many countries before establishing itself in India during the medieval period. It is based on well established knowledge and practices relating the promotion of positive health and prevention of disease. The fusion of traditional knowledge of ancient civilizations like Egypt, Arabia, Iran, China, Syria and India. It emphasizes the use of naturally occurring mostly herbal medicines and also uses some medicines of animals, marine and of mineral origin.
To establish promote and propagate Unani System excellence through reliable scientific interpretation in following forms of treatments.
To encourage establishment and management of Centre of Excellence in following fields.
To impart quality education in association with NABH and NEC by way of teachers orientation and high level training.
APAUSMS is actively working in association with it’s member base for focused research in Unani system of Medicine, in close coordination with Central Council of Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM).
APAUSMS is also planned to start clinical research programme in association with ACN Healthcare in Unani UG & PG institutions to encourage research in Diabetes, Lecoderma and Hyper Tension etc.
Of late through CCRUM Scientist Welfare Association APAUSMS is actively working to promote UG & PG level Unani Education among practicing Unani Doctors for their children and family members.
